Accessible Olfactory Screening Platform
A more approachable screening experience.
As part of a team, I co-designed a nonprofit concept for a low-cost, non-invasive olfactory screening platform intended to identify early risk signals associated with Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. My work focused on the app prototype and screening workflow.
The team explored how standardized smell cards and app-guided steps could make the screening experience more approachable. The design needed a coherent sequence from setup and practice through testing, results, and next-step guidance.

Co-developed the screening workflow around standardized smell cards and app-guided testing.
Created a Figma prototype covering setup, practice, testing, results, and next-step guidance.
The prototype introduces the screening process and provides a practice stage.
Standardized smell cards are paired with app-guided test steps.
The prototype includes a results stage within the overall screening journey.
The final stage provides next-step guidance as part of the proposed experience.
The team won third prize in the 2026 Brain Challenge Competition. My contribution included the app’s core-function Figma prototype and the co-developed screening workflow.
This is a concept and prototype. It is not presented as a clinically validated screening or diagnostic tool.
